Step 1
You tell us about your operation
One guided intake captures everything underwriting needs — authority (MC#, DOT#, MCS-150 status),
power units (VIN, year, value, garaging zip), drivers (CDL #, MVR), operations (radius, commodity,
lanes, annual mileage), 5-year loss runs, and coverage requirements (limits, certificate holders).
We never ask twice for the same fact.
Step 2
We classify the risk
Our engine runs the veteran-agent rubric — authority age, loss ratio, driver MVR profile,
CSA BASIC percentiles, OOS rates, commodity tier — and lands a tier (Preferred / Standard /
Non-Standard). Auto-decline rules (DUI inside 5 years, OOS Order active, loss ratio ≥ 80%,
CSA ≥ 90th percentile) trigger immediately and surface back to you with the reason.
Step 3
We pick the top 3 carriers per line
Per coverage line — AL, APD, MTC, GL, WC, XS, and the rest — we rank the top 3 carriers
from our day-one panel (Progressive, Great West, Northland, Canal, Sentry, AmTrust, Markel,
Hudson, Berkshire / NICO, Acuity, Zurich, plus Tivly MGA for overflow). Carriers you're
already direct-appointed with are removed automatically — we don't burn the market.
Step 4
We submit to every carrier in parallel
Each submission goes out the same day — portal quote-and-bind for the direct-portal carriers
(Progressive 1–5 unit, AmTrust small WC, Acuity small package), email + signed app + loss runs
for the underwriter-reviewed carriers (Great West, Sentry, Northland, Canal, Markel, Hudson,
NICO, Zurich). We don't serialize — serialization eats the renewal clock.
Step 5
You see the piece-out matrix
Every quote we receive lands in your portal as a normalized per-line indication. Once the
round closes, we present the coverage-line × carrier matrix — premium, A.M. Best rating,
bind speed, contingencies — with our recommendation per cell. You ratify; you can override
any cell.
Step 6
We bind across multiple carriers
One binder per carrier, aligned effective dates within one business day. MCS-90 + BMC-91 / 91X
attach to your AL carrier; BMC-32 to your cargo carrier if you're household-goods; state-specific
filings (CA MC 65 M, NY Form E, TX Form E, IL Form E + Form H) route to the carrier holding
the line. You receive a single program packet plus a per-carrier appendix.
Step 7
Renewals on per-line cadence
Each line renews on its own X-date. We pull fresh loss runs and MVRs at T-90, re-run the
matchmaker and submit to top-3 at T-60, present the updated matrix at T-30, and bind at
T-effective. A carrier non-renewing one line doesn't cascade across the program — only
that line remarkets.
